OUR STORY
Bezzie’s Bakery was born in July of 2019 , when I made a few too many of my daughter’s unicorn birthday cookies. Not wanting to throw any of the deliciousness away, I turned to Facebook and asked if any friends were interested. I sold all the extras, got rave reviews, and a week later Bezzie’s was born!
What started as just buttercream sugar cookies, quickly grew into cupcakes, dessert bars, and custom cakes. Handing out orders at my door began to be hard to keep up with, so I started my self-serve stand on the porch. The popularity of the self-serve stand grew and soon the stand turned into a larger cooler, and just recently expanded to two coolers. I have found the self-serve option has allowed me to be open earlier, stay open later, and have treats available seven days a week.
What's with the name?
Hi! I'm Elizabeth! When I was little, Elizabeth was pretty hard to say, so I often called myself something more like Bezabeth. Bez or bezzie quickly became a favorite nickname. To everyone else I may be Liz, but to my family, I'll always be Bezzie. And when you're in the business of making sweet treats, I couldn't think of a sweeter name.
