Hop into spring with Bezzie’s Bakery! Join Liz, the baker behind Bezzie’s Bakery, for a fun and educational hands-on cookie decorating class where you’ll learn how to decorate adorable Easter-themed cookies using buttercream frosting techniques.
This beginner-friendly class focuses on building decorating confidence in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Whether you’ve never held a piping bag before or you’ve tried decorating and felt overwhelmed, this class is designed to help you learn practical skills while enjoying a creative afternoon out.
Everything you need will be provided — from cookies and buttercream to decorating tools and a bakery box to take your creations home.
This class will be held Sunday, March 29 from 2:00–4:00 PM at Garden Deli in Freeport.
Guests may arrive up to 10 minutes early to get settled before we begin.
👩👧 Age Recommendation
This class is recommended for ages 12 and up.
Children ages 8–11 are welcome when attending with a participating, ticketed adult who is able to actively assist them during the decorating process.
For supervision and safety reasons, participants under the age of 16 must attend with a ticketed adult.
Due to limited seating, we are unable to accommodate drop-offs or non-participating observers.

What will I be doing in class?

During this hands-on class, Liz will walk you step-by-step through decorating four Easter-themed cookie designs using buttercream piping techniques. After practicing these guided designs together, you’ll have the opportunity to decorate two additional cookies more freely, allowing you to practice your new skills, get creative, and build decorating confidence. Liz will provide demonstrations, decorating tips, and individual guidance throughout the class to help you feel successful and comfortable working with buttercream.
Do I need to know how to bake?

No experience is required. Cookies and frosting will already be prepared so you can focus entirely on decorating and learning.
What will I learn?

You’ll learn how to hold and control a piping bag, how different decorating tips create texture and dimension, and simple techniques that help cookies look polished and professional.

You’ll take home six decorated cookies in a bakery box. If you purchase the Keep Decorating Kit, you’ll also take home additional cookies, buttercream, and piping tips to continue practicing.
Can I sign up as an individual or a group?

Yes! You are welcome to attend on your own, with a friend, or as part of a small group. Please note that each participant must purchase their own individual ticket, as seating and class materials are prepared per person.

I signed up but can’t make it — what happens?

Tickets are refundable up to 5 days before the class. After that time, tickets are non-refundable due to preparation requirements. You may transfer your ticket to another person if you cannot attend.
